TFS Named to MovieMaker Magazine’s 2023 List of the 25 Best Film Schools
TORONTO, ON – July 26, 2023 – Toronto Film School has been named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s 25 Best Film Schools in the U.S. and Canada of 2023 for the fifth consecutive year.
The esteemed annual list – which includes world-renowned institutions such as UCLA, Columbia University, and New York Film Academy – recognizes schools that prepare students for every aspect of moviemaking, spotlighting both world-renowned institutions and surprisingly affordable schools on the rise.

This year, Toronto Film School was singled out by MovieMaker in the Outstanding Production Training category for its flagship, 18-month Film Production program – marking the third time the honour has been bestowed on the school in the last five years.
TFS was previously recognized in the Outstanding Production Training category in 2021 and 2019, while in 2020 and 2022, TFS made the cut in the magazine’s Outstanding Screenwriting Training category in recognition of its Writing for Film & TV program.
