Upcoming: The Third Instalment of the TFS Video Game Jam Happens Aug 6 to 8

The ever-popular Toronto Film School Game Jam is back for round three! On Aug. 6 through 8, join Toronto Film School students and staff at the Steeles Campus, 1000 Steeles Avenue West, for another high-energy event.

The TFS Game Jam challenges Video Game designers, developers and animators to create an original game from a randomly-selected, community-approved theme in 48 hours.

The resulting games can then be submitted for a friendly competition at the next Toronto Film School Arcade, later in the year.  Don’t worry – you’re allowed to polish entries before then!

This free event is open to the public. Teams of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels are welcome. Caffeine, blankets, and PJs are all encouraged.  We hope to see you there!

The event will be held at Steeles campus of the Toronto Film School on:

  • Thursday August 6:  8:00 a.m.  to 10:00 p.m.
  • Friday August 7:  8:00 a.m.  to 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday August 8:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Don’t have a full team roster, but still want to participate?  Let us know where you’re lacking and we’ll find you a new ally.

Thinking of flying solo?  Game jams are best served collaboratively, so let us find you a team!

Otherwise feel free to join us as a floater and contribute your skills wherever you can.

Participants must register in advance of the TFS Game Jam here.

Please feel free to email any questions you might have about the TFS Game Jam to [email protected]
