Michael Harms Instructor, Acting for Film and TV

Michael has been teaching voice, text, acting, clown and mask for decades. His diverse directing credits include Ionesco, Shakespeare, Aristophanes and the complete works of Gilbert and Sullivan. As an actor Michael has played Hamlet, Richard III and, more recently, roles in murder mysteries and farces. As a singer he has performed in operas, operettas, musical theatre and cabaret performances. Major influences on his teaching include Canada’s premiere voice teacher, David Smukler and mask and clown innovator, Richard Pochinko. Michael holds a BFA in Film Production and an MFA in Theatre Performance from York University.
